St Augustine was a perfect final Florida stop for this traveling trio. We had beach time and great food time and friend hook up time and fun exploring St Augustine by trolly. We stayed in Faver-Dykes State Park which was gorgeous in its natural Florida setting of live oaks and palmettos. Oh, and ticks. We learned about ticks.
Mollie and I spent a lot of time exploring. We saw deer daily and a few snakes on our hikes. I wasn’t able to reach civilization on my ebike so Mollie and I stayed in the park until wife returned with the car.
We went into St Augustine several times and acted like tourists. But, we really enjoyed quiet and secluded Crescent Beach. We were completely rejuvenated by the warm salty Atlantic Ocean and enjoyed drunken clams and oyster po boys in the perfect Florida setting. So, 2 weeks in St Augustine was perfect. We loved our final stop in Florida.
Off to Savannah for 2 weeks. Upon writing this, I have spent a full day and a piece exploring. I am completely in awe of the beauty. Enjoy the St Augustine photos and prepare for quite a report on Savannah.
