Our 2 weeks in Savannah had a little of everything in it. We were camped at Skidaway Island State Park which was a 10 out of 10 as far as beauty goes. Although Kimberly traveled most of the time we were there, I was able to do a lot more with my vroom vroom (lectric XP). I could get to the grocery store and drug store and pub and get a haircut all from Skidaway Island State Park. That was perfect. And, Mollie and I got into a great vroom vroom routine where she just sits and waves like the queen she is.
Of course Kimberly and I did have some time to do Savannah. We walked the streets and found some delicious local brews and a burger on our first night. We also booked a Riverboat brunch…way too touristy and yuck food. We had a fabulous dinner in the best people watching corner at Belfords. We enjoyed every drop of that experience.
While wife was off at work on day, my friend Amy Jackson and Kent blew through for a great visit, meal and, drafts. I love visitors! And, on our final day in Savannah, we had a blast with our friends LAD for great food and brews and laughs to celebrate Dori’s big birthday.
All in all, Savannah was an excellent choice for 2 weeks. Savannah is beautiful. I will say July was hot and soggy and many days I felt like fly paper. Maybe July isn’t the best time to go.
Enjoy the photos!
