A Week in Frankfort, KY

Frankfort Kentucky: Bourbon, Bourbon, Bourbon, Horses…

I had a great week in Frankfort while Kimberly traveled for work.
I went to an outdoor sculpture museum and checked out some local pubs and breweries. I don’t drink Bourbon but it was still fun to learn about it. And they take it seriously in Frankfort.

I was so lucky to see one of my favorite people in the whole world in Kentucky where he is working on his Masters Degree. My time with Mitchell was priceless and I loved seeing him and catching up.

Then came the missed connection, change of airports, and 5 hours of delays. So, we missed our Friday dinner date and we had to “do” Frankfort all day Saturday.

That wasn’t a problem at all. I had booked us on a Bourbon boat history tour on the Kentucky River and then there was an Octoberfest celebration with live music and some great beer from an old local brewery downtown followed by dinner at Bourbon on the Main.

We were lucky to have a leisurely leave time Sunday to head to Indiana. Enjoy the pictures of Frankfort. Kentucky this time of year is gorgeous.
