We made it to Colorado! First stop – Canyon View in Grand Junction! And the name says it all as the RV Park was situated in a canyon surrounded by beautiful views of the Colorado mountains.

Hi everyone! This is Kimberly. I volunteered to do the blog post for this week as Jana was visiting Catherine in Philly so only got to spend 1 day here.
Mollie and I had some quality time together. Coffee time in the morning and happy hour in the evenings sitting outside enjoying the scenery. We also drove one day to the Colorado National Monument park and stopped to take in the beauty several times.
It was a productive week for me as I just had to do some twirling for the business casual clothes I will need for my new job! Of course that meant exploring the downtown one day and finding a brewery for lunch. I also spent many hours on the phone catching up with family and friends, which was way overdue. And one afternoon with a big tub of popcorn at the movie theater seeing Top Gun.

But about Grand Junction — Grand Junction is a city in Colorado’s Western Slope region. It’s known as the hub of Colorado’s wine country. Split into 5 sections, James M. Robb – Colorado River State Park offers river access, lakes, biking trails and wildlife. The Museum of the West displays prehistoric pottery and 19th-century firearms. West of the city, trail-lined Colorado National Monument is a park with red sandstone monoliths and canyons. ― Google

Grand Junction, the county’s biggest city, has a strong history that dates back more than 125 years. In the 1880s, the area was part of the Northern Ute Reservation, although the Native Americans were later moved west into Utah. In September 1881, the area experienced a land rush settlement and a townsite was staked. – Google

Jana got home late Friday so on Saturday I took her to see the National park, then the brewery, and that night we went to an awesome restaurant, Devils Kitchen.
Would we move here permanently? Probably not, but visit again, for sure!
Sunday, we packed up and headed to Colorado Springs where we are now.
